Why Copywork?
Copywork is a simple yet powerful tool. As students carefully copy well-crafted writing, they naturally absorb:
-
Beautiful handwriting habits
-
Proper grammar and sentence structure
-
Capitalization and punctuation
-
Rich vocabulary
-
Early composition skills through imitation
By regularly engaging with excellent models of writing, students build the foundation they need to craft their own thoughtful, well-written work.

I am always looking for ways that my child can work on penmanship while also putting into memory lovely things. Having a beautiful book that is designed for scripture memory copy work and lovely literature copy work has made copy work time something to look forward too!
Narration is something new we are adding to our homeschooling adventure this year and I’m really excited to utilize this workbook with our Morning Time book. The layout is simple and it feels very doable. With provision for both handwriting practice and for personal narration, I think this will be a fun and helpful resource for my kids.
This will be such a practical addition to our morning time together. Planning to use it for my kindergartener.
I recently added this in for my second grader who needed more handwriting practice. My 4th grader has been doing the cursive version and loves the open ended writing opportunity on the back side of the pages. My son is also enjoying that now! We memorized Psalm 19 at the start of our school year so the kids especially enjoy copying those verses as that is the first copywork passage in this resource. I love everything from BDP and go to Whitney’s site often when I need resources for homeschooling!
We loved the recipes and fun! The scripture and history are so timely and interesting.
