The Thanksgiving Guide

Great study for my 6 year old. Perfect amount of material per day and inspired my daughter to continue doing some Thanksgiving art crafts on her own. Already purchased the Christmas study 🎉

As a family that lives overseas, I have loved using this Thanksgiving Guide this year with my little one. Living overseas, my daughter doesn’t get the same cultural experiences and exposure to American holidays as she would if we were in the States. Thus I found this easy-to-use guide a great resource to expose her to aspects of American culture and history - all from a biblical perspective - that she would otherwise miss. All of this content is very doable with little prep, and we have loved the time spent together using this resource!

We love this curriculum! Not only is it well thought out and easy to follow, but provides easy ways to adapt to a wide range of ages and skill levels. The lessons are the perfect length and very interesting. I love that there’s a coordinating book list to add to the curriculum. I'm so excited to start this Monday with my 1st grader, kinder and 3 year old. My library had all 14 suggested books that I wanted and it was so easy to go down the list in the guide and request books. I love how the whole guide is organized. I'm already planning on ordering the Christmas one!

I stay home with three little boys and these unit studies have been such a lovely way for me to incorporate routine and creativity into our days. I am always pleasantly surprised that I don’t need to buy an entire list of craft supplies; most of the crafts and recipes rely on basic household items and art supplies that we already own. Likewise, all of the recommended picture books have been available at my library. If I put them on hold a few weeks before the holiday (order the guide a little early!) I usually end up with most of them. I love the open-and-go feel and the brevity of these lessons. Whitney incorporates classic works of art, timeless hymns and living books that make me feel so proud to be introducing my kids to Thanksgiving in this way. Thank you, BDP!
