My kids really enjoyed this learning guide! The lessons are short and simple. My kids enjoyed all of the crafts (especially the ones with food lol). They asked when we were doing another guide book on day 1! It’s short and very informative.
Our family enjoyed these activities leading up to Reformation Day. My kiddos range from 10-5.
Our family really enjoyed this Reformation Guide! It was our first time learning about Martin Luther and the guide provided such a great starting point for exploring all the rich history. We did this guide with our 4th grader who really enjoyed it and our Kindergartner who especially loved the read aloud book, the animation link and coloring sheets! Highly recommend this guide for anyone interested in learning about Reformation Day!
We used the Reformation Day Guide as a simple way to keep learning and have some very low key structure in a postpartum season. I loved the flexibility to pick and choose activities based on supplies/time/children’s attention span, etc. It took very minimal prep (just getting books at the library) and we still learned so much - mom and dad included. I anticipate this becoming a yearly tradition for our family.
This guide is such a great resource for celebrating Reformation Day with kids. Our children are currently 5, 3, and 1, so they’re younger than the target ages. We did not do every activity, and I imagine a lot went over their heads. Even still, I really appreciated how things were laid out, as well as the ideas to choose from. The reminders from Martin Luther’s life about clinging to the truth of the Bible and the gospel were wonderful. We had friends join us for one day, doing a game and making the “hammer” treats, which was fun—and I loved the variety of things we could do or enjoy each day in addition to the reading. I imagine it would be even more meaningful and enjoyable to obtain the related books to read together and to do the other activities we didn’t attempt this year. I love having the physical guide so we can potentially go through it in years to come. The design itself is lovely, and I’m grateful for the resource.
