Happy Labor Day! If you're like me, you may have had little idea what Labor Day is about or why we celebrate it. This guide is for you, but it goes beyond just learning history.

The purpose of this guide is two-fold: to learn the history and meaning behind the American holiday of Labor Day and to show our appreciation for the hard workers who help us every day.

This 16-page guide includes:
- Recommended picture book lists for ages 3-12
- The history of Labor Day
- A devotion about God's design for work
- A simple activity to show appreciation for the hard workers in your life
- A healthy fudgsicle recipe to celebrate the end of summer
- And more!

What ages is this for?
This guide is written for ages 5-12, but is designed to be done as a family study, so older and younger siblings can certainly participate.

How long is this study?
This is a 1-day study. Our family plans to use this guide the week before Labor Day.

Printed book: This printed guide is saddle stitched and is designed to last.  Will ship in 1-2 business days from purchase.

Digital download: You'll receive an immediate digital download of the guide to the email address you provide. No physical book will be sent. You may print these files or have them printed at a local print shop.

Labor Day Guide

Love this guide! The whole family learned new things and served our postal community together. The fudge pops weren’t too bad either ❤️

Thorough and fun

We used the Labor Day guide for the first time this year and was pleased with the purchase. Per the BDP norm, it’s simple, beautiful, and engaging. I look forward to using it for years to come, as our understanding of work and the importance of this holiday grows. My boys are 5 + 7, for reference.

Needed History

I start school on Labor Day. This lesson is a fun, light, way to engage the children and put our hearts in line with our best work as unto our Lord.

Labor Day Guide

I love Whitney’s literature based guides for these “smaller” holidays. I myself learned so much along with my kids from the books chosen and the guide! We’ve also done the Memorial Day guide and are working through the Nature Guide now and have loved them all!
