- Recommended picture book list
- Preschool picture book list

- Weekly crafts and recipes
- A weekly poem and Aesop's Fable
- A list of 50 screen-free ideas for kids

What ages is this for?
This guide is written for ages 3-12, but designed as a family study, so older and younger siblings can certainly participate. I've included book lists for preschool, elementary, and middle school students.

What are the required books?
Indescribable by Louie Giglio and Slow Down: 50 Mindful Moments in Nature by Rachel Williams are the two books used throughout the study. All additional picture book recommendations should be easily found at your local library.

How long is this study?
This is an 8-week guide and the weeks are interchangeable! Go at your own pace in whatever order suits your family.

Loving it

We as a family have only started this summer guide and am already so pleased. I love how everything is laid out so simply on the table so busy mums can see at a glance each week what is needed.
I also love how there is reading book lists for each age and stage relating to that weeks topic.
Already looking forward to downloading the Autumn/Fall version 😊

Joyful & Wonder-filled Summer!

I have been using the summer guide with my 12 year old son for the last two weeks. Some would say he’s “too old” for picture books but every time we have closed one shut he says, “That was such a good book!” They really have been some delightful stories! It was easy for me to switch out some recommendations for books we already had on hand as well. We are loving the chapter book recommendations, too! The activities and snack recipes have also been a fun and creative part of our time. I can imagine with families of multiple kids closer in age than ours, there would be so much to enjoy here, but even just my youngest son and I are really enjoying this hour together every day. Thank you for making this guide to help us have some joyful, wholesome, wonder-filler summer reading and creating together!

A Summer Joy

My boys, 5 and 3, and I have enjoyed every aspect of this summer guide! Slow mornings on the porch reading through devotionals and suggested library books, afternoons making fun summer treats and simple crafts, and so many adventures we’ve planned around each week.
