DIY: Pressed Flower Suncatchers

This is such a satisfying Spring handicraft because the kids can do it nearly unassisted and it yields beautiful results!

Here's what you need:

+ Clear, glossy contact paper

+ Dried, pressed flowers*

+ An embroidery hoop (mine is 10")

+ Twine or string for hanging

Place a piece of contact paper on the table with the sticky side up and put your embroidery hoop on top so your children know where to fill in. Let them fill in the hoop with pressed flowers. Remove the hoop and place another sheet of contact paper on top, pressing out the bubbles. Place the contact paper sheet inside your embroidery hoop (this takes a bit of finagling) and hang!

*If you find wildflowers and press them on your own, allow them to dry for about a week before using them.

This craft was inspired by Ellen at @agracefilledspace. She has such a beautiful account!
