READ: Open your Bible and read a few verses that move through the book of Philippians chronologically.
PONDER: This section contains a question or quote that relates to the Bible passage you just read. Spend a few minutes thinking or journaling your response.
MEMORIZE: Each morning, you’ll practice a memory verse that’s part of a larger passage. Pull out the memory verse card and place it in a prominent place where you’ll see it often. On the back of each card, you’ll find a helpful memorization tool that uses the first letter of each word to jog your memory. By the end of this study, you will have memorized Philippians 4:4-8 (NIV), an encouraging portion of Scripture that you can call to mind on the hard days.
PRAY: Each card gives a simple prayer prompt that aligns with that day’s Bible reading to help guide your prayers.
I'm so honored to feature the paintings of the incredibly talented Brittany Smith on these cards. She is an artist, wife, and mom of three who resides outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. You can find her full collection on her website: Brittany Smith Studio.
What a beautiful set of cards! We can’t wait to start using them.
I bought a set for myself as well as a set for my two friends freshly in their postpartum season. What a perfect way to have regular intake of scripture in bite-size pieces each time you nurse/feed your baby!
Morning Moments for Moms: Philippians
Love that most the Scripture readings are brief so as not to overwhelm this mom of a newborn, and I love the prayer prompts as I often find myself unsure of what to pray about/who to pray for beyond my immediate family. Something about this devotional being in card form makes it feel less challenging than a book.
I am thoroughly enjoying these morning moments. It is just what I needed for a quick start to my day and to help me focus on what is most important. I find that the prayer prompts are most valuable because I certainly lack in my prayer life. So thankful for the reminder to pray!!
