Watercolor Class: 8 Summer-Inspired Scenes

My children and I have loved the watercolor class. We have no prior watercolor experience and have successfully completed the course. Highly recommend!

This class is colorful, beautiful and approachable for all ages. This is our second painting series from Brighter Day Press that we have used to have a weekly painting party with long distance grandparents over zoom. Whitney calmly describes each step and the digital guide provides a simple outline of the art along with color references and step by step instructions. We occassionally pause the instruction when necessary if anyone needs to catch up to the video and that works seemlessly. All of us (grandparents, parents and our 4 year old) have so enjoyed our watercolor wednesdays and we plan to continue them this fall and into the Christmas season with other BDP resources!

The video tutorials are great for my daughter who has the patience to watch technique over and over to perfect her own but I appreciate there also being outlines for my less-patient boys who still get the benefit of working within the outline and being able to practice different shapes, color mixes etc many times on their own and at their own pace

A beautiful guided class - enjoyed by both children and grown-ups alike!

I recently purchased Summer Scenes and we have already completed the bee and sunflower!! I was impressed with how easily they printed and how nice and light the outline was! This truly made it possible for my kids and I to work on our painting skills without getting discouraged when our drawing might not have the right porportions. The QR code to the YouTube link worked great and we enjoyed screen casting it to our flat screen so it was easy for everyone in the room to have a great view. Excellent directions and we learned some new techniques already 😊! Thank you, Brighter Days!!
