"Do the next thing." 

Elisabeth Elliot popularized the following poem, which reminds those who feel overwhelmed or consumed by the weighty tasks of life that God is simply asking you to trust Him and "do the next thing." Overwhelming piles of laundry, toddler tantrums, and the weight of motherhood can tempt us to throw in the towel and give up, but our job is to trust God and to faithfully do the next thing He's put in front of us. I pray that this mug serves as a tangible reminder for those who feel anxious or discouraged to anchor their hope in Christ and do the next thing.

Working or suffering, be thy demeanor;
In His dear presence, the rest of His calm,
The light of His countenance be thy psalm,
Strong in His faithfulness, praise and sing.
Then, as He beckons thee, do the next thing.
