I absolutely love this planner. So gorgeous and works well for our family needs
I was really excited to get my new homeschool planner in the mail, and it arrived beautifully packaged and so pretty in person. But unfortunately it is not a good fit for me. I love everything BDP and am really thankful for Whitney’s ministry! Her planner is a lovely reflection of her style and I love the intentional details she added to it. But like many have said, the pages are pretty thin and I don’t believe it would make it through the year. The binding is beautiful but the pages don’t easily turn and may get ripped easily if not handling carefully. It is also rather large and heavy. I’ve owned many different planners since high school and none have come close to feeling this cumbersome. Also, it could really use a folder page. So it is for these reasons that I will be using a different planner this year. I will be keeping an eye out for next year to see what she has in store!
I am excited to try this planner. It has a lovely cover, and I am very interested to try out the layout with the combined 'life' and 'school' pages for each week.
The Brighter Day Press Homeschool Planner is truly beautiful—visually calming with a lovely, clean aesthetic. The large format gives you plenty of room to write, and the simple, uncluttered layout makes it easy to focus and plan your homeschool days with intention. I especially appreciate the clean lines and thoughtful design touches that make each page feel purposeful and peaceful.
However, a couple of things to note: the paper is on the thinner side, which may be a drawback if you enjoy using felt-tip pens or highlighters. Also, the planner only includes one week of planning pages for the month of July, making it more of an 11-month planner with a single bonus week, rather than a full 12-month option. This could be important for year-round homeschoolers or those starting mid-summer.
Overall, it’s a beautiful and functional planner with a few limitations to keep in mind depending on your style and school year structure.
This planner is excellent! If I could dream up everything I'd include in a planner, this planner has it, without any of the things that sometimes make planners feel cumbersome. It's open ended enough to work well for a variety of schedules and I'm excited to use it in the next school year!
