What ages is this for?
This guide is written for preschool through elementary, but it’s designed as a family-style study—so older and younger siblings can easily join in and enjoy it, too!
How long does it take?
The study is designed for four days (Monday–Thursday) of Thanksgiving week, but you’ll find enough rich material to stretch it over a couple of weeks if you prefer a slower pace.

I absolutely love the Thanksgiving Unit study we purchased and so did my boys! The activities each day were engaging, easy and fun. We did all of them some days and only one on others depending on our work load for the day and that was perfectly okay…I didn’t feel pressured to do it all! I also love that it was short and sweet—only four days! Highly recommend!
I am so grateful for this guide, along with all of the other guides put out by Brighter Day Press. I have a range of ages in my kiddos, but these guides allow us to gather and do something meaningful together, while focusing on God and the history of the holidays. I love the picture books that are recommended to go with each day of the guide and also think the activities are so creative and fun for kids of all ages (even my teenagers and myself enjoy them!) If I don’t have time to do the whole suggested content in one day, we spread it over 2 or 3 days or just choose to do one of the activities. This is such a blessing I will be pulling out for year after year and I keep sharing how much I love these guides with all my friends and family! As a family that lives overseas, I have loved using this Thanksgiving Guide this year with my little one. Living overseas, my daughter doesn’t get the same cultural experiences and exposure to American holidays as she would if we were in the States. Thus I found this easy-to-use guide a great resource to expose her to aspects of American culture and history - all from a biblical perspective - that she would otherwise miss. All of this content is very doable with little prep, and we have loved the time spent together using this resource!
We love this curriculum! Not only is it well thought out and easy to follow, but provides easy ways to adapt to a wide range of ages and skill levels.
