There is nothing more powerful than beginning your day in the Word and in prayer, seeking the Lord's strength and wisdom as you navigate motherhood. This set of cards is a simple tool to lead moms through the book of Philippians —a letter of joy and hope that brings lasting encouragement to us, even 2,000 years later! This study was co-written by my own mom, Melodie Tunney, who has navigated more than 35 years of motherhood with grace and joy.
READ: Open your Bible and read a few verses that move through the book of Philippians chronologically.
PONDER: This section contains a question or quote that relates to the Bible passage you just read. Spend a few minutes thinking or journaling your response.
MEMORIZE: Each morning, you’ll practice a memory verse that’s part of a larger passage. Pull out the memory verse card and place it in a prominent place where you’ll see it often. On the back of each card, you’ll find a helpful memorization tool that uses the first letter of each word to jog your memory. By the end of this study, you will have memorized Philippians 4:4-8 (NIV), an encouraging portion of Scripture that you can call to mind on the hard days.
PRAY: Each card gives a simple prayer prompt that aligns with that day’s Bible reading to help guide your prayers.
I'm so honored to feature the paintings of the incredibly talented Brittany Smith on these cards. She is an artist, wife, and mom of three who resides outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. You can find her full collection on her website: Brittany Smith Studio.
